Luxury at Perrycliff

Pouring with rain today but good for the garden!

Welcome back!

Like everyone else in the tourism and hospitality business we really hope to be able to open in July so that you can come and stay with us. Quality is key for our cottage and we have an all inclusive holiday waiting for you with no hidden charges. We are working hard to make sure our cottage will be safe for your arrival and are busy absorbing the best practice from the professional guidance available for the industry for cleaning and importantly disinfecting. The cottage will be as welcoming as ever and though we are advised that our normal welcome hamper is not to be recommended we hope there will be other treats to make up for this that will make you very happy! That together with our splendid views and private orchard makes for a safe and relaxing holiday after these difficult times.Getting ready to welcome you back we hope very soon

We are really missing our guests. We are still here in the beautiful Wye Valley,  ready to open as soon as we are legally and safely, able to. Our cottage is secluded, but not isolated, and as such is perfectly positioned to spend time safely -maintaining social distancing. You have access to an exclusive, private orchard, summer house and fire pit and entertaining terraces. At the time of writing there isn’t a confirmed date for re-opening our luxury cottage at Perrycliff. The latest Government advice set out in its strategy document for Covid 19 recovery says that re-opening will not be until after 4th July at the earliest and will depend on risk assessments and scientific advice. It is of course essential that it is safe to re-open- so that is why we are using this time to look carefully at our business practices and in particular cleaning regimes and turn around times – and the cottage contents to evaluate how we can achieve this. We may have to make some changes but we will tell you all about these. We will keep you appraised in the coming weeks. We understand that Visit England are working on Covid 19 accreditation which will provide assurance that the Cottage has been independently assessed for safe opening and if that is so we intend to sign-up for it and we wholly support the initiative. In the meantime we have issued new cancellation provisions for Covid- related issues. We urge you to take out cancellation insurance as ever – but in any case, to give you confidence when booking with us when we are able to, please see these in our terms and conditions. As a headline, in line with legal requirements,  we offer a choice of postponement or full refund of your holiday price within 14 days, or earlier, if our cottage is closed due to Government measures preventing travel or denial of access to  the cottage for Covid 19 reasons. We are sad that this has happened, in particular for the lost lives; grateful, like everyone, for our NHS and key workers and enthusiastic now to get up and running safely for our guests, our staff and community and of course ourselves! We have our gloves and masks and fantastic Myddfai warm ginger hand-sanitiser at the ready- thank you! Do keep in touch- ask us any questions or send us your suggestions – and we can’t wait to be allowed to welcome you back to the wonderful Wye Valley !

The experience is approximately 2 hours, beginning at 6:30pm with a complimentary festive drink. You will then receive a guided tour to see many of these nocturnal hunters by torchlight. Warm up in the café with complimentary hot food and drink before the main event – the flying demonstrations.

One flying demonstration will be indoors and will introduce you to our smaller owls while the other will be outside with our larger owls, lit by just our spotlights and the moon.
